Nissan have made a great family car but the downside being they have fitted it with a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter). This filter requires long and constant motorway drives for at least 40 miles constant in every 200 miles. – Not very family like is it?
With the DPF being fitted, this car isn’t suited for a Mum that is likely to use it around town doing the shopping or picking up her kids from school. The last thing you need is your new car breaking down on you and a very expensive repair bill to replace something that shouldn’t even be fitted to a family vehicle.
In situations like this, where a DPF is not suitable for your driving style – we offer a completely bespoke and permanent solution.
Here at DPF Solutions we can completely remove the DPF from the vehicle and reprogram the Engine ECU (on-board computer) to disable and completely de-activate the entire DPF system. This will mean that you will no longer be required to do those long motorway journeys to “regenerate / clean” the DPF and you will not experience any warning lights or any future issues because the DPF won’t be there and the entire system will be “switched off – permanently”.
Although we say permanently, this is a completely reversible solution so if at any point you decide you want to put the filter back on – a quick 1 hour programming session at our workshop and we can load the original backup file back to the vehicle.
Once the DPF has been removed and de-activated from the on-board computer, you will notice the following:
- Increase in Power
- Increased Throttle Response
- Better Performance
- Increase in Economy
- Increased Life Expectancy of Turbocharger & Engine
The DPF causes the engine to “choke” and so it has to work harder which means you have to press the accelerator more to give it enough power to drive faster – once the DPF is removed, the engine can breath a lot better and so in turn, will be able to efficiently produce more power without the need to accelerate so hard.. in turn, you will also notice a significant increase in fuel economy.
Because the engine and turbo can now breath better, they won’t be subjected to as much carbon build-up from the “choking” scenario and this will reflect in a better performing engine which will most definitely last a lot longer too.
We operate an almost nationwide service, with agents and workshops around Greenwich, London, Birmingham, Leicester, Nottingham, Manchester, Sheffield, Derby, Doncaster, Stoke-On-Trent, Wolverhampton & Co.Wexford Ireland.
